Onsite Automotive Service: The Name and What It Means

We are Onsite Automotive Services, a full-service repair shop at 30 Pine St Middle Unit, Stoneham, MA 02180. We have been at it since 2005. People find us a few different ways, and the name means different things to different people, so this page is here to clear it up.

We Are a Real Shop with a Real Address

Onsite automotive service, the way we use it, means the work happens here, on site, in our bays, with our technicians and our equipment. Nothing gets farmed out to a second shop across town. When you drop a car off with us, the same ASE Master-certified technician who diagnosed it is the one who repairs it.

That matters more than it sounds. A lot of shops sublet alignment work, transmission work, or electrical diagnosis to somebody else and mark it up. Your car takes an extra trip, the timeline stretches, and nobody owns the outcome. We do that work in house: alignment rack, scan tools, lifts, the whole thing under one roof on Pine Street.

We Are Not a Mobile Mechanic

Some people searching for onsite automotive service are looking for a van that comes to their driveway. That is not us, and we would rather say so than waste your afternoon. A proper diagnosis needs a lift, an alignment rack, and factory-level scan tools, and none of that fits in a van.

What we do offer is the next best thing for a busy schedule: after-hours drop-off, walk-ins during business hours, and same-day service on most routine work. Leave the keys in the box the night before and the car is usually ready by the time you finish work.

What We Actually Do

All makes and models, domestic and import. Brakes, engine repair, transmission service, A/C, exhaust, suspension and steering, electrical, wheel alignment, oil changes, diagnostics, timing belts, and official Massachusetts state inspections. We are a licensed inspection station, so the sticker gets done here too.

We work on Toyotas and Hondas all day, and we also have the tooling for BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Volvo, Porsche, Land Rover, and Jaguar. Domestic trucks too: F-Series, Silverado, Sierra, and Ram, including the diesels.

Where Our Customers Come From

Stoneham is home base. Beyond that we see regulars from Woburn, Melrose, Wakefield, Reading, Winchester, Medford, Malden, North Reading, Burlington, and Arlington. Most of those towns are a ten minute drive from the bay door.

The Part That Actually Matters

The name on the sign is less important than what happens after you hand over the keys. We tell you what is wrong, what it costs, and what can wait. If something does not need fixing yet, we say so and write it down for next time. Customers have stuck with us for fifteen and twenty years on that basis, and it is the only reason a shop our size is still here.
